Our Australian sporthorses

Kanukadale concentrates on promoting an Australian Sporthorse that is suitable for the Olympic disciplines.  We strive to produce a well-balanced horse with powerful movement - A horse that has strong sound legs, refined head and reflects intelligence in their eyes.  These horses must possess the stamina to carry the rider all day in the bush and have the attributes to compete at the higher levels of the performance disciplines.

All Kanukadale horses are registered with the International Sporthorse Studbook of Australia (ISSA) under the Australian Sporthorse category.  The requirements of this classification being that the horse displays suitability for the Olympic disciplines.

The mothers and their foals are grazed on the rich Brodribb River flats of the Snowy River country.  The initial training takes place in the rugged and mountainous terrain surrounding Goongerah Valley which advances their stamina and surefootedness.

The foals are bonded with humans from birth.  They develop an affinity for their two-legged friends that strengthens into a mutual bond as they mature.
